Grim Trials Crafting Guide

Official line: The spoils of battle are the tools of your trade. Gather materials on the battlefield, then work with Academy mentors to craft weapons, armor, and consumables.

What persists

When Avelin falls, experience and materials stay with her. Crafting is why a failed run is still progress.

Grades

Read off the Gear Crafting screen:

Achievement In Their Final Forms: complete a Trial Ground run with Level 3 Mastercrafted weapon and gear. Fashionista: craft all gear. Weapon Connoisseur: craft all weapons.

Potions

You craft potions between runs, not inside them. Ivanya’s first recipe is 1 Spirit Potion — you will need it in case you are wounded to rejuvenate your spirit. Demo: each potion restores one life symbol (two hits). February 2026 patch cap: 12 per slot, per run. Treasure rooms sometimes drop one. There is no estus-style refill at the start of a run.

Crafting sits in The Academy. Mentors: Milyun the Spinner, Pytra the Blacksmith, John. See The Academy. Mix the crafted kit with the skill tree and mid-run Blessings: Blessings and builds.
