Grim Trials Blessings and Builds
Grim Trials Blessings are mid-run gifts from Gods of Death. Named cards include Morrigan’s Wrath, Niutou’s Strike, Anubis’s Split, Charon’s Shock, and Ammit’s Venom.
A run is three layers: the skill tree you pay Soul Runes into before you leave The Academy, the gear you crafted between deaths, and the Blessings the Gods of Death hand you inside a trial.
How Blessings work
The picker header, word for word: Gods of Death bestow upon you — Choose your blessing. Hold to select.

| Rule | What the game does |
|---|---|
| When | After you clear a room |
| Offer | Three random Blessings. Pick one |
| Source | A God of Death. The card title is [God]'s [Noun] |
| Upgrade | Picking the same card again raises its rank |
| Cap | Rank IV. The picker shows I–IV values on the card before you commit |
| Repeat bias | Weighted odds push repeats so you can stack instead of drowning in uniques |
| Replace | Later picks can replace a Blessing you already hold |
| HUD | Active Blessings sit as hex icons on the left, stamped with I–IV |
The Omnitheism achievement is the collection check: Experience every Gods of Death Blessings. The set is finite.
Named Blessings (read off the picker and the build panel)
These titles and numbers are in-game. Rank I is what you get on first pick.
Morrigan’s Wrath
Morrigan, the battle goddess, sharpens your strikes, empowering your melee attacks after a ranged strike finds its mark.
| Rank | Effect |
|---|---|
| I | +20% Melee Attack damage 2s after a Ranged Attack |
| II | +25% / 3s |
| III | +32% / 4s |
| IV | +40% / 5s |
Niutou’s Strike
Niutou’s strength surges through you, stunning your enemies with the force of your melee strikes every few hits.
Niutou is the ox-head guardian of the Chinese underworld. In-game spelling is Niutou.
| Rank | Effect |
|---|---|
| I | 0.1s stun on melee, every 5 hits |
| II | 0.2s |
| III | 0.3s |
| IV | 0.5s |
Anubis’s Split
Channel Anubis’s judgment, unleashing a barrage of arrows that strike from three directions, scattering the guilty.
| Rank | Effect |
|---|---|
| I | Ranged attack splits 3 ways at 50% damage |
| II | 3 ways at 70% |
| III | 3 ways at 100% |
| IV | 5 ways at 100% |
Charon’s Shock
Read off the equipped-Blessings panel.
- Dash stuns on arrival — all enemies in the AoE, 0.2s (rank shown on that panel)
Ammit’s Venom
The poison / toxin card. Same panel.
- 15% chance on melee to apply poison: 5s overtime, 5/s
Healing Blessing (title not yet read off a card)
Demo play: base rank restores half a life symbol after every three combat rooms. Rank IV restores up to one full symbol after each cleared combat room. Treasure and resource rooms do not count. Demo reviewers called this the must-pick. The card title will land here the moment a picker screenshot shows it.
Projectile-deflect Blessing (title not yet read off a card)
Specials can deflect projectiles and return about 70% damage. Matches the launch-week patch Blessing: Fixed to be able to deflect player projectile.
Gods of Death
Gods named on Blessing cards so far, plus gods named in the February 2026 VFX patch.
| God (in-game) | Seen on | Tradition |
|---|---|---|
| Morrigan | Morrigan’s Wrath (picker spelling) | Irish battle / death. Patch notes used Morigan for the VFX |
| Niutou | Niutou’s Strike | Chinese underworld (ox-head) |
| Anubis | Anubis’s Split | Egyptian |
| Charon | Charon’s Shock | Greek ferryman |
| Ammit | Ammit’s Venom | Egyptian devourer |
| Arawn | VFX patch | Welsh Annwn |
| Manaan | VFX patch | Manx / Irish otherworld |
| Thanatos | VFX patch | Greek death |
More [God]'s [Noun] cards exist. Omnitheism is the proof. This table grows as pickers are read.
